PE & Sport Premium
Children from Years 1 to 6 have a minimum of two one-hour PE lessons every week.
The Sport Premium was introduced by the government to fund improvements in the provision of PE and sport activities for the benefit of primary-aged pupils so that they develop healthy lifestyles. Schools are free to spend the Sport Premium as they see fit; you can find out how we are spending our Sport Premium here. This document shows how we are prioritising our funding to improve provision in PE for all of the children.
A wealth of sports festivals and competitive tournaments are arranged through the Chipping Norton Partnership of Schools as can be seen here.
Last year the children at Great Tew were delighted to be the overall winners in the Chipping Norton Partnership of Schools competition for small schools.
We were awarded the Silver Sportsmark in September 2015 and again in September 2016 and are now working towards the Gold Sportsmark.
